Michiel Cornelissen Ontwerp is a small, highly skilled product design studio in Utrecht, The Netherlands – some 25 minutes from Amsterdam. We create exceptional product designs and experiences, working with clients that range from major international brands to startups. Our studio has extensive knowledge of and experience with emerging design technologies such as generative design and 3d printing, but we’re always aware that such technologies will be most useful at the service of in-depth customer insights and benefits.

For electronics and healthcare giant Philips we provide design services from conceptual design to production implementation.

For a major consumer audio company in the United States, we regularly provide 2 to 5 year visions on product design, user interaction and customer experience.

We’ve been helping fast growing 3D printing brand Ultimaker with product design, interaction and design strategy consultancy relating to new generations of their 3D printers.

Next to our client work, we initiate independent projects – partly to keep developing our design skills, and partly because it’s fun. Some of these products are now being sold at places such as the Tate Modern in London and the MoMA’s in New York and Japan.

We’d love to talk to you and find out how we can help on your next project.

Internships – product design
We regularly have internship positions available. Please send your portfolio to the e-mail address above if you are an advanced student or recent graduate, and have top skills in one or more of these disciplines:

  • Industrial design
  • Interaction design
  • CAD (Rhino/ SolidWorks or similar)
  • Rendering (Keyshot or other)

Jobs – user interaction (freelance)

If you have a great talent for creating highly innovative user interaction concepts, we’d like to get to know you. By preference, you have experience with both software based interaction and hardware concepts.
